All around the world, the library stands as one of the truest symbols of a progressive civilization. That’s why, at times of political repression, religious intolerance, social regression and descent into barbarism, books have been burnt and censored and access to libraries denied.
This amazing picture from WW2, showing people using a half-demolished library, says everything that needs to be said.
And during the week in which a man who is closing all the libraries chose to spend my money and yours on an extravagant funeral for the woman who said “there is no society”, to me this image of hope seems especially poignant.
The Nazis knew what they were doing when they bombed this library. But the public saved it. They saved it because they knew very well what a library represents.
Libraries are freedom.
Libraries are equality.
Libraries are society.
Libraries are understanding.
Libraries belong to all of us.
And they are still worth saving.
THIS TIMES A TRILLION.
Libraries matter. We (librarians) matter. The work we do is important and no acts of war must keep up from our important task of preserving and sharing human knowledge.
I am not a Librarian but wish I was :) so much respect for Librarians !

The whole world is backwards and inside out !! so many closed minded people who only see things from their view. 
Okay so that episode lacked so many things on so many levels it was really boring. None of the actors enjoyed what they did at all that came across. Okay not true James Masters looked like he had fun that is about it.
I wanted to enjoy it but I spent most of my time confused. So I guess they will either just leave it there and we will have knew adventures or they will sort out the missing bits to have that episode make sense.
Well that was a odd episode. I would say more but I don’t think I liked it I wanted to but yeah it just did not do anything for me.
Things I noticed in the episode was the Tardis translator thing was working and Clara was speaking in Russian and hearing in Russian. Is that something since it appears to work and other times it does not ? unsure on that one.
Reference to the Ice Warriors daughter maybe a reference to family. Since the Ice Warrior thought he had no planet and no family left he was considered Dangerous. I guess a bit like the Doctor.
That is it really I was honestly bored by it . The tardis vanishing and then apparently being in the South pole was the high points. To me the episode felt it stole from Aliens and Predator and mashed it all together. I do not think they enjoyed making this one.
